The stretch marks often occur during the pregnancy period, extreme weight gain and loss, body building and in puberty. Stretch marks appear first as red and eventually after some months, it will appear as color smoky or pale white.

The basic principle in reducing or preventing the stretch marks is to prevent stretching of the skin or you could increase its elasticity or even both of it.

It is better to massage your skin using this moisturizer as soon as they are formed. Exfoliate your skin too at least twice a week. You could also use products that have jojoba oil and shea butter. But, you also have to remember that not all types of moisturizer or even lotions and other creams are suitable for you. You have to consult first your doctor if the creams you will be using do not cause any side effects at all.
You can also use different products that contain AHA or alpha hydroxyl acid; substance that are known for removing stretch marks. They are used to remove dead skin and they make the skin restore its vitality.
Then, you have to supplement your body with Vitamins A, E and C. These are vitamins that can help you reduce of getting a chance to have stretch marks. They are responsible for increasing the strength of the collagen in your body. The collagen is the substance that provides the elasticity to the skin.
You might also want to try the medical procedures for it; they are microdermabrasion, endermologie, laser therapy and cosmetic surgery respectively. The microdermabrasion is used for removing the top layer of the skin using either chemical or mechanical means. The endermologie helps to increase the circulation and remove the toxins from the skin. Laser therapy uses laser technology in removing the scars while the cosmetic surgery involves removing different parts of the skin that has been affected by stretch marks.
You have to make sure that you eat proper and nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables and drink a lot of water to keep your body hydrated.
